Ok, I'm new to mfp. I keep seeing 'bump' all over mfp, but I've got to be honest, I don't know what it means. Could someone explain it to me please?

I'm so out of the lingo, lol

people type that to reference their post " bumping" your thread to the top of the list .

Some people also use it as a sort of "placemarker" for later reference to that particular thread.

Pregnant people comment 'bump' to let us know their babies are kicking.

Bump = Bring Up My Post. It's a way to get posts to the top of the board so more people see it.

Since MFP doesn't have a "follow post" or "subscribe" feature, it's the best way to mark a thread for later reading.

At least that's how I do it.
