What kind of protein powder do you use? Brand name? Where do you purchase it? I've never made protein shakes before. Any adivce or info is much appreciated.
This is the smothie recipe I use and switch between strawberries and mango but plan on trying some of the other ones.
Brum's - Skim Milk, 1 cup
Danone Silhouette - 0% Stirred Greek Yogourt - Vanilla Twist, 1/4 cup
Strawberries - Frozen, unsweetened, 1/2 cup,
Bulk Barn - Whey Protein Isolate 90%, Plain, 1 scoop 1
Sweet Leaf - 100% Natural Stevia Sweetener 1 Packet,
Plentiful Pantry - Flaxseed - Ground, 1 Tbsp
2 ice cubes
Per serving:
Cal - 187g
Carbs - 13g
Fat - 3g
Protein - 47g
Sugar - 9
Fibre - 3
It makes two servings but I drink both for breakfast. -

Bump! Don't know how I missed this post, but I will definitely be trying some of the OP's recipes!!
By the way, I can recommend the following vegan protein powders for the lactose-intolerant:
* Life's Basics Plant Protein Mix Unsweetened -- derived from yellow pea protein isolate, hemp seed, rice protein concentrate and chia seed; 22 gr. of protein per scoop
and
* Rainbow Light Protein Energizer -- made with brown rice protein combined with organic spirulina, and vegetable juice concentrates; 14 gr. of protein per scoop
I use a half-scoop of each in my almond-milk-based protein drinks. I'm partial to the vanilla flavor, but the chocolate varieties also taste pretty good (to me). I've found them at my local Sprouts and HEB Central Market supermarket chains, and they are also available online.
