I have been trying to find a lot of information about a good balance on weight loss.
I understand the concepts of BMR and TDEE and read a couple great posts here on MFP in that regard.
On my searches I read somewhere that I was considered a fast oxidizer. As such, it was recommended I have lower carb and higher protein and fat based diet.
Now, MFP had me at a 1300 calorie intake which i struggle with; even without my exercise calories. I simply cannot eat that much. I am trying to switch my % on these three to what was recommended for me and see If I can eat the calories my body needs (following my bmr/tdee) and maintain my weight loss.
What, I have read seems to imply that the above would be true and that my problem with not consuming enough, even though i feel full at the end of the day, is that I am not eating the right portion types. I'm understanding that by eating the right % is just as important as the BMR/TDEE to effectively lose weight.
My question to everyone is, have you heard anything on this and if so do you have any insight or useful articles?
I'm going to my doctor at the end of May for my annual physical and will follow up with medical expertise. However, I would like to inform myself before going in.
