? about protein amount at one time

I read some where that you should not eat more than 30 grams of protein at one time cause your body does not absorb it and you either just pee it out or in most cases it goes to fat. Is there any truth to that? What do u limit your protein amounts to at one time? If at all?

The "30g of protein per sitting" myth came from people wondering what the amount of protein is to maximize the anabolic response.
ABSORPTION is different. If you eat 90g of protein in a sitting, your body will still use nearly all of it. Digestion will take longer and it will be released into the blood stream more slowly, but your body will still absorb it.
AKA: 4 meals w/ 30g of protein vs. 2 meals w/ 60g of protein is not going to impact your muscle gain or fat loss goals.
Hope this helps.0 -
