Yes, that's correct....number two, I've done this before so I know I can do it again. About 5 years ago I was in nursing school and found myself depressed and overwhelmed. I gained 40lbs in less than a year, I decided that the weight was a main contributing factor in my depression. I LOST 60lbs in about 7 months time and felt fantastic.

Fast track to 2011, I met my husband, did some traveling, drank some wine(lots of wine) and enjoyed some delicious food...oh yeah and subsequently gained 30lbs in a matter of 6 months. THEN I Got pregnant! Gained 40lbs and now I'm here...a year after I gave birth with lots of excess love on my body.

Long story short, my pregnancy was brutal, my hormones shut down into menopause mode post pregnancy to the point where I couldn't even lactate.

I've lost 30lbs thus far by way of a Keto diet and now I am attempting to lose an additional 30. I am adding carbs back into my diet which will be tricky since I've always been so carb sensitive. It is going to be a struggle but that's why I have joined MFP so that I can better track what is working and what isn't.

I weight train 3 to 4 days a week, I've started the c25k program and in addition I try to get in some sort of cardio daily. If you are in a similar situation feel free to send me a friend request and let's help each other out!!!

I am carb sensitive, but I've found carb cycling works well especially when I stick to carbs from fruit, rice and potatoes. I cycle between 30g, 60g and 120g.

How did you determine which days to use which amount of carbs?

I just started. Decided to start with 30g and the next day do 60g and the next day do 120g. Then I started over. When that stopped working I switched to 30g Saturday and Sunday, 60g Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday then 120g Thursday and Friday.

Thank for the info, I may try to do that as well. We moved to Canada so I could reduce stress from working constantly and my husband and I switch roles, he used to be the stay at home daddy. I want to use this time wisely because I'm sure I will be back to work in a year.

I used to take metformin to regulate my insulin levels and I am considering going back on it if I can't get it under control myself.
