Dumb Question about Intervals

I have a dumb question, sorry if I hurt anyone's brain. I was never the brightest bulb in the chandelier.
Say you're running, weight lefting, kettlebelling, etc etc etc in intervals, one minute on, one off, or two on one off, or what have you.
Do you log the *full* workout time under "interval" training, or do you just log the time you were actually exercising?
For example, today I did kettlebells for 40 minutes, but the routine was 2 mins on, 1 off, repeated, so I only logged 30 minutes of "circuit training." I also did sprints in 30 on/ 30 off intervals and logged only the actual run time, not including rest.
Am I doing it right?
