Anyone else

So so far in almost 4 months I've lost around 40lbs (give or take. Haven't weighed myself in 4 weeks) and besides the change in the way my clothes feel I don't see much of a difference. I do feel way better and have more confidence in myself. Question is, does anyone else see themselves as that fat person when they have something they shouldn't? I've been doing so good lately and feel great but tonight after giving in and having a drink, I passed by a reflection of myself and saw that nasty fat person I always saw in myeslf. Anyone else see that same negative reflection when you have something you shouldn't? When I doing good I see my reflection differently. Is it just me or anyone else ever see it that way too?

Yes it happens to me all the time even after losing a little weight. So I've come to realize this is not just a weight issue, this is a self esteem issue that has allowed me to hide behind my weight for years. So everyday I try to give myself a little exercise or challenge and see if I can manage. Like when a compliment is thrown my way being able to smile back and just say thank you, instead of waving the compliment away.

We are not nasty because we're overweight, this doesn't change the goodness in you. So from today try to look in the mirror everyday for a few minutes and tell yourself how special you are in any shape or form.

I hope it works for you, I'm still working on me good luck to the both of us!

Plz watch the new 'Dove' social experiment about self image http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=litXW91UauE , it's really an eye opener! xx
