Starting Strength, Stronglifts 5x5, NROL (any of them), All Pro's SBR - all solid beginners routines that'll get you going and include planned recovery and progressive overload.
Gender is irrelevant - if you're a raw beginner you just need to get under a bar and start working out. But you need to do a programme designed for a beginner - don't just do some random, made-up routine or (heaven forbid) a bro-split.
Whatever routine you choose, you should read Starting Strength anyway because it has heaps of useful information about actually doing lifts and is a great book for any lifter to own.
