Weight watchers?

Hello!
I am not new here but, I am posting here in order to introduce myself to other's who might have the same lifestyle or some of the same goals and interests since I am looking for a twin....
I started MFP at 283 pounds, I now weigh 239 and have had the help of weight watchers and the support from the amazing people here on MFP. My goal is to get under 200 pounds but, my ultimate goal is 144 pounds. I am 5' 5" and I absolutely hate the way that I look.
I suffer from BDD (body dysmorphic disorder) and bipolar disorder. Those mental illnesses make losing weight, staying motivated and learning new things harder than you would think!
Weight watchers has taught me portion control and I get 38 points for a day! I seem to be doing really well on the program and hope to do well until the end.
On MFP, I love to look at the success stories, I love to get motivation and support from that board and I post daily but, do not track my food on this site.
Is there any one else who is 5' 5", close to 239 pounds and on WW? That would be cool but, I will take someone who is just my size and similar goals? I want to find more friends to send daily messages to and check up on each other.
For those of you who are new, WELCOME!

I am not on WW but used to be. I like the database here better and it's free. I am 5' and 242 down from 415 trying to get to 120. Long road. Slow going. Good luck.0

Hey lovely! We are pretty much matched down to a tee, only that I'm not on WW anymore. I'm 5ft 5 and 247lbs, and also suffer from BDD and threshold Bipolar (not fully diagnosed yet, in the process) as well as anxiety and OCD. I'm going through a really tough time mentally but getting into shape and working out is really helping.
I did WW about three years ago and it was very effective at the time - especially with establishing portion control, but I really preferred the clean eating, paelo theory about eating certain foods that maybe wouldn't be as appropriate on WW - I try not to eat a lot of sugar or carbs etc. I do really support it though because I think it's very very helpful to a lot of people, but MFP is working for me right now.
I'm going to send you a request now0 -
Welcome to MFP! You will find a lot of helpful advice and good friends here, people are
very supportive and ready to cheer you on. I also started with Weight Watchers, it was
the best decision of my life, I learned more about nutrition and portion control which I
really needed. Even when I wasn't able to go to the meetings later I tried to follow the
guidelines as much as I could. My highest weight was 346 and I now weigh 181.
My goal is 140 as I'm shorter. The MFP guidelines are very close to the WW points
values in my humble opinion, so I like it here. Good luck with your weight loss journey
and keep up the great job!

I'm a little taller than you, I'm 5'7". Starting weight 235. I lost 10 lbs on MFP, put some back on after a couple deaths in my family. I joined WW a couple weeks ago and haven't lost anything. It's a great program (as is MFP), my head just hasn't been in it. I love coming here and reading the success stories. TIme for me to get back in the game. I'm not sure how long I'll continue my WW membership. $42 a month is expensive. I'll always come to MFP. Anyone feel free to send me a friend request and lets get this weight off. :drinker:0
