MFP and RDA for Iron

I have been tracking my Iron intake for the last few weeks and thought I was quite low given the fact that the goal MFP sets for my daily total is 100. After purchasing an iron supplement yesterday, I did dome searching and have found that 100 at least double the maximum RDA for any adult . (Should have check before shopping!) Am I misunderstand the MFP goal? Are they talking 100 mg or are they using another measure? Any help would be appreciated as they last thing I want to do is OD on iron. TIA!
