Anyone else have a gliched iPod Touch 4?

So I have this awesome iPod that isn't so awesome...
I decided to do the right thing and purchase songs from iTunes for my workouts for my iPod instead of illegally downloading them. But they will only play on my iTunes, and NOT on my iPod. Frustrated and wondering if anyone has experienced this or if anyone knows if there's a way around this?
