Before I started my healthy eating about 1 week ago I was rarely hungry, I tended to fill up on diet cokes ect. Now even though Im logging my food and seeing Im eating what seems to be a huge amount I feel ravenous to the point Ive been quite snappy with people. Is this my body adjusting?

How many calories are you eating? If you are netting less than your BMR that could definitely make you feel ravenous. Also, if you're hungry, then eat. Grab an apple, make a salad, or have a banana. Just listen to your body :)

With the information you've provided all we can do is take random stabs in the dark as to why this might be the case.

My guess would be that you're undereating and creating too large of a deficit.
  • Im eating around 1500 calories, Im sorry Im new to this whats BMR? .

I can only see about 4 days of logging and other than today you've been under your calorie goal every day, one day you ate 811 calories. That's one reason you're hungry.

Second reason is probably because you're thinking about food more as you're conscious of what you're eating.

Try eating extra protein in the morning or adding a protein shake to your breakfast. Also make sure you are drinking the 8 recommended glasses of water a day. I snack between meals because otherwise my blood sugar drops; you could always try eating smaller portions more frequently and see if that helps.
  • I think your right, Im really concious of what Im eating and seem to be thinking about it all the time, I feel like Im drinking so much water to try and curb the hunger too.
  • Smaller portions more frequently could be the way to go for me I think.
