Burn more than you consumed?

How is that supposed to work? Can you even burn more calories than you intake or..?

  • I think that's the whole point of weight loss...
  • But if you consume 1200 calories a day, it's a bit difficult to bur off 1200+..
  • You are burning calories even when you are sitting down or laying in bed. Your body has to burn calories for everything. There is a chart that tells you what your body will use all day when just laying around in bed and that is how they calculate what calories you need to eat they take that number and subtract a percent. This way your body will need more calories so it starts to burn the already present fat in the body.

    ^ This. Just because you are not exercising 24/7 doesn't mean you are not burning calories. You burn calories every second you are alive through breathing and other organ usage, as well as the smallest things like showering, cooking and just general tasks and chores. Sleeping burns more calories than we think!
