Bakery Cupcakes

Today my daughter made the high school soccer team so I bought cupcakes from a local bakery to celebrate. They were delicious! BUT when I went to log it into MFP, the calories counts ranged from 110 - 485 and up for one cupcake. To be on the safe side, I chose the 485 calorie cupcake to log. This is a tiny bakery so there are no nutrition facts available. Can anyone make a more solid guess for me, because I still need to eat dinner and I don't know how many calories I have left available!
Here's the details: I ate one traditional sized cupcake. It was chocolate cake with a TON of frosting on top. No sprinkles or additional foods used in the making of this cupcake. It was not oversized but also not miniature. What do you think? Thanks!

I would say the latter is probably correct. 2 tablespoons of frosting is ~ 150 calories, and I would say an average cc has at least much that if not more. Just the cake batter is probably around 200 calories. When I make cupcakes at home using egg whites and applesauce and making my own healthier frosting they are still 200 calories each. So to be safe I would venture somewhere between 400-450.0

I'm just glad I worked out hard today and had 750 calories left for dinner, so I still have a tiny bit left after eating that cupcake. This celebration was not planned in advance! Also today I learned that I've crossed some sort of positive line - I enjoyed that one cupcake and had no desire to eat more, and that's definitely a first for me! Thanks for your help in logging this.0

That sounds about right depending on the frosting. A cheat treat is ok once in a while.0

Yeah, the one food reward that I gave myself was a red velvet cupcake from a small local bakery. I think I just went ahead and logged it as a Starbucks cupcake because I figured they probably make cupcakes that are "bad" enough. I think it was somewhere in the ballpark of 400 and something calories.0

I had that experience too! Since then, I've been able to control myself eating treats where I didn't have control before. Great, isn't it!!!0
