what kind of excersie I need to start with?

Hi
I am a female, 5'4" with more than 100 lbs extra weight on. I have a very sedentary lifestyle (sitting at the computer most of the time). I want to start getting more active and boost my weight loss. What kind of exercise do you guys suggest for me? Biking, walking, elliptical? How many sessions a week and for how long?
I started with 30 mins a day brisk space walking on treadmill (7 times a day) but I read somewhere that it's better to go over 45 minutes and fewer times a week. Any thoughts?

Good for you!
I wouldn't worry about doing long sessions fewer days a week at this point.
If you've been sedentary for a long time, than any increase in activity will be an improvement over where you are now, and if short sessions more often seem to work in your schedule, I say go for it. Maybe try the bike or elliptical and see if you like them-- if not, stick with walking.
As you gain some strength, lose a few lbs, and gain some cardio fitness, you may find you WANT to work out a few sessions for longer--which will be good for your heart health.0
