Should I log before or after?

I heard you should plan out your meals and log them in before the day you're going to eat, and if anything changed to just change it as the day goes on. Does this help a lot? I heard a lot of people do it. :]

Whatever works for you. I personally do plan my meals ahead. I don't necessarily log before though.0

I think it's a good idea to have some clue about you'll eat during the day - I always know round about what I'll be having for dinner in the morning, or the night before (I do a shop once a week) but I don't log it as such - sometimes it is quite good NOT to log it and then see how many calories you've left over if you've done a workout so you can maybe have something extra.
I don't think it really matters too much providing you stick to your calories, lose weight and remain healthy. You can save meals and recipes and your recent food entries will pop up - I'm burning through my feta cheese button!0 -
Whatever works for you.
I log while I'm eating, or slightly before. If hubby and I have gotten firm on what we're eating for the day (no sudden changes or bright ideas), I'll log in the morning for all meals.0 -
i usually log after i eat. cause sometimes i don't end up eating the portion i got for myself. but whatever works for you!0

I log for the day after I eat breakfast, and I change it as needed. It couldn't hurt to try it and see if it works for you.0

I like to log as I go so I see through out the day how well I am doing. I don't want to forget anything. And I love seeing the exercise take off calories that were added before hand. Good Luck on your way to goal.0
