    Not sure.

If all you're doing is HIIT cardio, then having a whey protein shake afterwards can't hurt, but it's not quite as necessary as after a weight training session. But if you can combine some resistance training, maybe some ab work or something, then it would be more deservant of a post-workout shakes. That's what I do. Just fyi.

If you're hungry and need extra protein then yes.

    If not than no.

You'd get more benefit from BCAA's with HIIT than Whey Protein. My 2¢.

Doesnt really matter as long as you are getting enough protein at the end of the day.

There may be some small advantage to having protein pre and post workout. Assuming optimal diet and workout program but for most it is not going to make much of a difference at the end of the year.

    This.

I don't because I don't like to eat after I workout for a couple of hours.

I don't think it would matter for the average person, maybe someone of elite athletic status.

Why eat back all those calories you just killed yourself to burn?

It can matter if you have done a "sweaty" session as we all lose electrolytes when in this state..

And why it matters is electrolyte inballance and it may be beneficial to eat rather than protein shake for obvious reason.

In my case i ve always had a problem with heavy leg days that cause a feeling of sickness and an "propper" electrolyte drink prevents this feeling....
