30ds AND c25k?

Would I be setting myself up for disaster if I started the couch to 5 k, and still continued to do the 30 day shred every day?

I'm on day 2 of level 2, it's more or less kicking my butt... I can't do the advanced moves... I'm thinking of starting again when I finish, and making sure I get the jump moves, the full real push ups, use heavier than 2 lb weights... in the mean time, I'd like to start training for a 5k... I have one in October in mind, but i'd like to be able to actually DO it.

I have also tentatively agreed to ride a 200 km event on a tandem bike with my sister.... but I'll cross that bridge later.

should I wait until I finish the 30 day shred to start jogging? I have made it to week 4 on the c25k, but never past that... I'm sore and tired from the 30 day shred, but not enough to stop me from doing serious yard work and long hikes....
