LEG DAY <3

God I love it. I did legs yesterday and I am sore today which I love. One thing i find is on leg day I can literally stay in the gym an hour and a half and still want to do more exercises!

How many different exercises do you do on a normal leg day?
Do you have two different routines you do on various days to change up the areas you target?

For example:
Yesterday I did unassisted squats on the rack, leg press machine, sliding leg press machine, standing squat machine, hamstring curl machine, standing calf raise machine, kettle bell plie' squats and weights bridges.

I still left thiking man i wanted to do lunges, deadlifts and buglarian split lunges lol. so in two days i will do a different routine to cover some of the other i missed.

what does your leg days look like

I keep mine pretty basic because I train in a home gym and train specifically for strength/performance.

    Squats. lots of sets.
Snatch Grip Deadlifts of Stiff Legged Deadlifts 3-5 sets of 10-20.
    Sled Drags or prowler sprints
    Sometimes good mornings or lunges

When I train at a gym I like to throw in leg extensions, hamstring curls, and some calves

    My leg day:

    Skip gym
Go do something useful like curls at home

    Not really...
I try to get in squats on almost every lifting day. also dead-lifts once a week. I do strong-lifts 3x5
With the amount of running I do, I can't over do it, so I stick to big compound movements. As it is I'm usually running with shin splints and DOMS.

Back when I did have a leg day (I now do full body training), it consisted of normal barbell squats, hamstring curls, lunges on the smith machine (had to use the smith machine because balance issues get in the way of doing unilateral exercises with free weights), and box jumps.

Squats were done for sets of 5-6 reps, all other exercises were done in sets of 8-10, box jumps were done in timed circuit format.

I miss high school for that reason. I used to wake up at 5 and walk to my gym (it was down the block). 2 hours there, then I'd shower and change and go to school, where my first period class was PE and I could lift some more.

This! I'm doing Stronglifts as well so I have been sticking to compound movements as well. When I was doing splits I felt like I could do a whole lot more as well. I did:

    Squats
    Calf Raises
    Leg Press
    Lunges
    Deadlifts
