Shirataki Noodles

I got the Shirataki noodles with tofu. I made them with stir fry one night and it was good. I put some in Lipton cup of soup yesterday and they turned out pretty chewy. Should I have waited till the soup was done to put the noodles in? The only thing different that I did was boiling them. I am trying to find ways to serve these without them getting so chewy.
