    LMAO..I just moved to the south from MI about 10 months ago. I love this one... Or its a nice way of saying "you're an idiot".

    LMAO..I just moved to the south from MI about 10 months ago. I love this one... Or its a nice way of saying "you're an idiot".

    As a total southern girl, it has two meanings.
    1. Bless your heart as in, awwwww, we so hate to see, hear that etc.
    2. Bless your heart as in - yep you're an idiot and my mom sent me to ettiquette class!

    I preface a lot of things with "I'm not trying to sound mean, but..."

    But the thing is, I am actually not trying to sound mean. I HATE being criticized on anything (unless I specifically ask for it), so when I am in a position of having to criticize -- usually only at work -- I try my absolute hardest to do it constructively. I'm sure that I don't always succeed, though.

    I saw that thread though, rolled my eyes, and skipped the inevitable brain aneurysm that would have happened if I'd read all 9 pages of stupidity and outrage.

    As a supervisor of a sizeable department, I really hate when people come to tell me something and start with, "You know me. I never complain, but...."

    It's always the same 4 or 5 complainers, and they always launch into a 30 minute complaint, which targets everyone else's behavior and ignores their own bad behavior. :grumble:
