I lost 70 lbs
205lbs to 135lbs
Im eating around 2200 calories a day and have been in maintenance since November last year. I didn't count calories when I lost the weight, i just tried to make healthy choices and exercise
You look fantastic!!! I hope to get rid of this gut. I'm 28 and 5'5 as well OP and I've lost about 40 pounds in the past year. But I was pregnant and had GD so the healthy eating and walking helped me lose weight while pregnant and I lost a lot of baby weight. I was 210 pre-pregnancy and now I'm 169 post pregnancy. At my heaviest I was 250. Really wanting to work hard and not end back up in the 200's. So for not quite answering your question OP but I'm also interested in knowing

At about 5'6" and 112 lbs or so, my maintenance seems to be around the 1700-1800 mark. That's with a sedentary job, but ~1 hr walking and 2-3 very short, intense strength workouts per week.0

Congratuations! You look amazing!0

I am 5'5", 52 years old and I can eat about 2000 calories to maintain at 126-128 lbs. I exercise and have a fairly active job. My best weight loss was doing a zigzag diet, less than 800 calories every other day, over 1500 on the eating days with the goal being less than 1400 a day averaged over a weeks time. I started my weight loss starving myself, like most people do. I lost weight but not in a mentally healthy way, if you know what I mean. The body doesn't like to be starved and will rebel, lol.0

Hi, I am 29 years old and I am 5'5". Oh, and I am a mother of 5. I started mfp at 155 my daily calorie goal was between 1250 and 1300 and I ate back my exercise calories. I hit my goal of 127 and maintained for 5 months eating around 1500 - 1600 plus eating back some of my exercise calories. In January of this year I decided to try eat more to weigh less using tdee - 20%. I lost another 4 lbs. Right now I am holding steady at 123-124 and I eat anywhere from 1700 - to 2000 calories a day. Hope this helps.0

5'5", 24yo, 122lbs - lost 10lbs eating 1200, lost 20lbs eating 1500 and not logging weekends (so probably 1700 average for the week). Now I'm maintaining around 2000+ cals, running 10-12 miles a week and lifting for 40 mins three times a week.0

I'm 5'5.5", 48 years old.
SW: 165 (end of August 2012)
First GW: 140 (reached mid-December 2012)
CW: 135
Average daily exercise calories burned (Body Revolution + walk/running or cycling 6 days/week): 450-650
I've never eaten less than 1500 calories a day as an adult unless I was sick. While I was losing, I ate 1600-1950 calories a day and lost a steady 1.5 pounds a week. Now I eat 2300-2500 a day and have been maintaining for 4 months. I walk a lot, but spend the vast majority of my day sitting.0 -
Wow thanks everyone for replying this is so useful - it's amazing how everyone varies lol0
