has anyone done a body detox...or cleansing before beginning a weight loss plan?

    Lots of people here have. Problem is that scientifically, it doesn't do anything for the body except cut calories.

    If you're trying to lead a healthy lifestyle, eat a balanced diet, exercise regularly, and drink plenty of water.

    You're body will take care of the rest.
  • The non-sense of cleanses is what got me started losing weight!!! I was so sick of listening to friends talk about cleanses, shakes, drinks, expensive programs such as Advocare that I decided to start MFP and lost the weight. I have been maintaining for over 9 months and feel great. I log weight, food and exercise. I read motivational blogs here and try to help others. You will need to live with a good eating and exercise program for life so... get started the right way.
