So, my boyfriend now has Sundays and Mondays off.
I always have weekends off, and I have Memorial Day off,
which means we'll be together all day Sunday & Monday.

Sorry about all the "off"s! I want to go somewhere or do something but for the life of me, I just don't know!! We don't really have any good lakes nearby... I'll get paid the Friday before so money isn't an issue. We live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Any ideas or suggestions? I mentioned to him we should make some chicken kabobs but this is the first time in a long time we've had TWO whole days together. I want to GO somewhere and DO something.

Go pitch a tent some where. I mean go camping!
    Go hiking.
Road trip - just start driving. Pack a cooler with good for you foods, maybe a bottle of wine to share once you get to your destination. Stay over night in a cheesy motel or camp.

i would suggest renting a cabin but there may not be any around you because of the lack of lakes. .. are there any bed&breakfasts nearby?? how about an amusement park or festival? i know that memorial day weekend is very popular for holding various festivals. just a simple picnic at a park might also be nice. oh and if you could find a concert to attend after your picnic that could be really fun.

there is something going on at Lone Star Park that weekend. Take a drive to Fredricksburg. I hear its a lot of fun. A great weekend getaway.

Here are a couple of ideas that are not too far. I have not been there in a while, but we had fun hiking and swimming at Turner Falls Park.

I am going to exercise my right to Free Speech. That church from Kansas is going to be picketing a local church that weekend. I thought I might ride my motorcycle down there and do some counter-picketing of my own.
