Finally saying hello

Well, I suppose if I’m going to post on the MB, then I should introduce myself.
I came here to MFP in support of my GF, who’s having great success losing 15 lbs in about 2 months and will probably keep going for another 5-10 more.
Then I started poking around the message boards and they are rather interesting, so I felt I should give some back ground.
My personal fitness goals have more to do with maintaining strength and increasing cardiovascular capacity as I age rather than weight loss. But if some pounds come off in the process, that’s great. Back in the day I ran track (sprints/hurdles/jumps), was a gym rat for about 15 years or so, and played lots of recreational sports over that time. Lately I just run & hike for cardio and do push-ups, pull ups & yoga for strength. I’ve always eaten fairly healthy, more so now than in the past when I could get away with eating badly more often without consequence.
So after being a few months….HI!
