I want to shake the hands of every jogger I see!

Options
When I go for a walk every night I come across a lot of runners and joggers. I realise how hard it is to do. I did the C25K programme before and was very proud when I completed it. I kept it up for a while then stopped.

As I see people jog, I want to give them applause, cheer them on and shake their hands. But that would be weird right?

LOL, but you can say 'hello'.

I ran in a different town the other week, whilst away for the weekend, and nobody said hello, it was actually a bit sad.

I used to feel that way too - and now I am a runner and so appreciate even the subtle nod or the smile as I pass.

I want to applaud for the people that come out in huge numbers to watch those marathons and half marathons! They hold up signs, and they are there for hours!
They get up early, they cheer for total strangers, they make you push on when you think you can't anymore,
they smile, cheer and chant. Without them, those distances would be just another training run.

So a big thank you to all the volunteers and spectators !!
