Feeling discouraged tonight

Excuse me while I indulge in a moment of self-pity. I've been training with a trainer and independently since last July, and got serious about my diet at the start of November. Since then I've lost 12.5 kg (about 27 pounds I think), dropped 2 dress sizes and my fitness has improved out of site.
All that sounds good right? And it IS good, it's just that I feel like I have so far to go. I've only 7.5kg to get to my goal weight, but according to the fancy scales I've got (which I don't entirely trust) my body fat percentage is still 40% and I don't know how I'm going to get that down because I don't think I could work harder than I am now.
I had a week off last week with a bad flu, which meant no exercise and eating crap food, but it didn't do me any harm on the scales, thankfully. So I've been back seriously on the wagon for 5 days - working out every day and eating well so I've had a decent calorie deficit each day, and then tonight I pulled something in my left thigh/groin (hip flexor maybe?) and it HURTS with every step so I might need a day or two off my circuit training to rest it.
Yes I'm being a sook, and in the grand scheme of things this is no big deal. Just feels a bit like 2 steps forward, 1 step back. I might look pretty good now to the uninitiated observer, but I see myself naked and know there is SO much work left to do on this poor old body.
End of pity party, thanks for listening

If you've pulled something, definitely rest until it's better.
You've done brilliantly so far! Body fat is one of the hardest things to shift, and also the hardest to measure accurately, so don't get too hung up on the actual figure.
You can do this.0 -
Thanks Mel, it does help to read all the stuff on here about other people's experience, and realise that this is supposed to be a looooong sloooooow process.
After all, I invested 30 solid years into turning this body into a fat useless thing, so it's going to take more than 6 months to undo that!0 -

We can reverse years of damage to our bodies by deciding to raise our standards for ourselves, then living differently. Old wounds heal, injuries repair, and the whole system improves with just a few changes in what we put into our bodies and how we move them.
anyone can add me0 -
Wise words sensei I think I'm also feeling a little worried because after doing a lot of reading here in the last few days I've started to eat back my exercise calories, so combined with the prospect of only light training over the next few days, has me a little freaked out.0
