New to Heavy Lifting - how do I track calories?

Hi there - I am going to start lifting heavy for the next 12 weeks to see how it goes. I've been tracking my calories burned when doing circuit type classes to know how much I should be eating each day. Now when I log the exercises in the strength area, it does not show calories burned.
How much on average should I expect to eat back? I am 5'6 189 and 36 years old if that helps. Any advice is welcomed. I wouldn't mind any words of wisdom for heavy lifting as well. Thanks!

The logging of strength training is for keeping track of progression, not calories burned.
If you search for strength training in cardiovascular exercises, you can use that to estimate your calorie burn. Calories burned for strength training is HUGELY variable though depending on what king of weight training you are doing, so it will take some trial and error. Also expect weight to go up when you first start lifting due to water retention in your muscles.0
