Skinny men with round bellies

Have you noticed there are two types of fat men? One is the saggy fat with fat all over and the other is a normal guy with a huge round belly. Is this all genetics or is it diet, etc?

The first guy is either fat as fatass mode or strongfat. The second guy is skinnyfat.0

When a person has all their body fat centered in the belly, this is a sign of metabolic syndrome. That person is on his way to becoming diabetic and should avoid any processed carbs.
Just because a person is big does not mean he is unhealthy. I did a 100k bike ride with a friend who is 300 lbs, but he is very, very healthy. He lifts weights and watches what he eats. He just comes from viking genetics and is just a large guy.0 -
I noticed guys with a big gut usually drink beer and or soda. My husband drinks soda (no beer) and when he decides to give that up he loses his gut.
But the other post is right, if all the weight is in the midsection it can be dangerous. It can be signs of other health problems.0 -
I think genetics play a role in it. I'm not fat, nor am I skinny... but I carry all my extra weight in my mid-section (and a little in my face). My legs stay very lean regardless of my weight, and my arms are really slow to show any fat gains. It's all in my gut.0
