I usually get bored around day 12 and quit lol... This will be my 3rd attempt .0

Come on ladies! You can do it!!! Add me if you want! Just finished 30DS and am now doing Ripped in 30!0
-
I'm not one to say maybe you should just give up... but really you should just give up on 30 day shred and try something else.0
-
I just started 30ds again, this time I'm definitely finishing it!0
-
You can do it! You will just have to remember why you want it each time you do it to stay committed0
-
I'm on day 2 of level 1. I'm not loving it but I'm not going to quit.0
-
Ive started and stopped it a few times also. It's a tough work out! I don't believe you are supposed to do it EVERY DAY though. I believe even Jillian said to take rest days. I don't know how many but I guess you have to listen to your body. Good luck!0

I am on Level 2 Day 2 today - keep going! It's tough, but it gets easier - until it's tough again. I've seen great results to far.
I started a group when I first began, and it's full of awesome people who keep eachother accountable: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/13416-30-day-shred-we-can-do-it0 -
You can do it! I have the same story you do....I've owned the 30 DS dvd for over 4 years now and always got to day 3, but quit....but this April, I decided to just do it...and now I'm going to start Day 8 today! It gets easier, it really does Although, I'm dreading level 2, but know Jillian's going to take care of me.0

if it takes that many tries...perhaps you just don't LIKE that kind of exercise and should try something else?
i only do what I love...hence I stick to it.0 -
I watched day 1 of level 2 today, does that count?? LOL. (I didn't even watch the whole thing)0
-
You can do it!! Im on day 3 and already notice a difference in my arms and abs (they feel better) I do dancing, walking, running, biking but I needed something for muscle. I have never completed all 30 days so its a challenge for me too. If I can do this so can you!!!!0

Not sure if serious...0 -
I've done RI30 and 30DS. My hardest part was JM's personality. Just annoying... not too motivating for me. Anyway, I believe you can do it0
-
2 things:
1. You can do it! You can do it!!! It is mind over matter, and you have the physical ability within yourself.
2. If you don't WANT to do it, that's okay too! You are more likely to stick with the exercises you like. If zumba is your thang, ain't no problem, as far as I can tell!0 -

I agree with Bill. You have got to find what works and this obviously isn't it. The important thing is you keep looking for what you will keep doing!0 -

LOL you and me both. I'm a 30ds flunky but I will get through it...i will. good luck to ya!0 -
The best workout is the one you will do.
Do you like swimming? hiking? going for long walks? having copious amounts of sex?
Just be consistent about it.0 -

^^^^ this is exactly why I want to do 30ds... I love zumba but don't get much definition from it.. i love my walking routine but once again no challenge to my muscles.0 -
you can do this. I am on level 3 day 2 tomorrow0
-
Welcome to my world. I'm a 100 attempter myself. I think once I got to day 2. I'm starting again tomorrow. Hopefully, it'll stick this time.0
-
You can do it! I Finished first attempt of 30ds and saw and felt results in March I am starting Shed it with weight tomorrow for the month on May! You will not regret it if you make it through!!!! I love Zumba too this added to that really gets results.0
-
Wow. You got all the way through Day 1?
I only made it about 5 minutes.0 -
I just finished the shred and I'm on week 2 of RI30. It helps me to have a count down of days. So if I didn't feel like pushing forward, I would tell myself "only x amount of days left, keep going". You can do it!0
-
If you've tried it that many times and haven't wanted to go past day 1...I think it may be time to try something different.0
-
Why don't you try a different program?
New Rules of Lifting for Women has worked well for me.0 -

I'm sure that is serious, and I agree with it. Forcing oneself to do something they aren't yet committed or ready to do is a good way to fail.
For example people who force themselves to go on a "diet" or quit smoking because they "know they should" or "think they have to" are always the ones who blow it a few days in. You have to really be READY.
If you keep trying the same thing that you don't like doing in the first place, why is try number 100 going to be anymore successfull than number 99 was?
Maybe this particular workout just isn't one person's thing - there are LOTS of other things to do, you just have to find the one that you CAN stay with, either because it doesn't annoy you (like Jillian tends to, LOL) or because you truly enjoy doing it, or becuase it's a new addition into a routine you might be bored with....
There's nothing wrong with sticking with the things you like rather than trying to force yourself to do something that doesn't grab you.
The only reason I stayed with the 30DS is that I was determined not to give up, as I ALWAYS have with stuff like this. I made an even bigger resovle to stick with things otherwise I would have given her up to, she's annoying and kind of a d**khole in terms of how she "motivates". Will I continue choosing her programs? Not sure. At the moment, when I finish 30DS in 5 days, no I'm not doing another one of hers. Maybe down the line.0 -
I bought this about a year ago - telling myself 100% I WILL do it...stick to it....this is gonna be the encouragement I need....bla bla blalllalalalal
...Your post has just encouraged me to TAKE IT OUT THE PLASTIC FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!
...We're all human...lets give this shizzle a go....I didnt know I'd like the biscuits until I tried them lol....off I go to t check this shred out!!
(This is the most motivated I've felt in god knows how long lol!)0 -
Good Luck you can do it!!!:bigsmile:0

I personally love JM workouts, and have had a lot of success with them.
But, one thing goes with the other - I have had success because I DO them, I DO them because I ENJOY them.
There are soooooo many DVD's out there, JM is just one fish in the sea! Why don't you post a topic asking for good circuit training DVD's that have some of the same qualities that you like about Zumba?
I mean, I don't like brocolli, so I don't eat it. I eat all kinds of other veggies and get a healthy result. If I tried eating only brocolli, I'd never eat ANY veggies.
So, no JM for you. Try something you LIKE!0
