I just have to share...

I was really tired of fashioning the "saggy butt" look in all my pants; I was desperate for some new ones. So last week I was shopping at TJMaxx and came across these cool teal ones in "my" size and one smaller. I was sooo elated when the smaller ones fit, I didn't even try on the others. I just thought this was a fluke…how could that be, the last time I bought something in this size was a skirt for a wedding 8 years ago. It was not really a fitted skirt, so it was a fluke…until…I went to a department store this weekend. I tried on 6 different pairs of pants, different styles, brands, material..etc…THEY ALL FIT IN THE SMALLER SIZE!!!!! AGHHHH – it was the skirt that was a “fluke”. It was probably high school since I wore this size...at least. I sat there in the fitting room and cried of the sheer joy.
So what does this really mean? When I got married (7 years ago), I weighed within just a couple pounds of where I am today. I also was still wearing the larger sizes. What this proves is that it doesn’t matter what that damn scale says! I go to Zumba at least once a week and do cardio/weights 3 times a week. I am conscious of what I eat, but am not dieting – I still log my food from time to time just to stay on track – that’s what a lifestyle change is. Today, I am down 48 lbs from my highest weight and can’t wait for my next shopping trip when the pants from this weekend start to fashion the “saggy butt” look.

Congratulations! It's that fat v. muscle thing. Fluffy fat/tight muscles. The fat weighs less, but the muscle takes up less room.0

GLAD YOU SHARED THAT. I need to look at how I wear my clothes, I am very afraid to wear my size in tops because my butt is huge. So I wear long, too big baggy tops just so the bottom half fits. Somehow your sharing makes me want to wear tops that are my size and not so long where they will be hugging my hips too tight. I love TJ MAXX, haven't even thought about them in about 15 years, so THANK YOU AGAIN.0
