QUESTIONS for personal trainers!

Options
Hello there,
I am doing a research project on the cardiovascular system and I have some questions about the effect of intense training on the cardiovascular system. I would like to focus more on marathon training. These are questions for fitness trainers, but if anyone else can answer them that would be fantastic. These are more biology questions.
Thanks for your time

How does marathon running affect the cardio vascular system and why?

What happens to breathing rate during a marathon?

how does lung capacity compare to someone who is fit and someone who is not?

How does the cardio vascular system compare to someone who is fit and someone who is not?

How does the cardiovascular advance from marathon training/running?

Extensive cardiovascular training such as one would do for a marathon will have the following physiological effects.

    Increased blood volume
    Increased cardiac stroke volume
Increased number and size of the mitocondria in the leg muscles
Increased capillarization in the leg muscles
Increased amount of aerobic enzymes in the leg muscles
    Increased glycogen storage
    Increased lactate threshold
    Increased VO2max
