vitamins

any vitamin experts out there that can help me with a good daily regime of supplements i can take during the day? I have been taking vitamins throughout the years but not very consistent with them I currently take B complex Vitamin C Vitamin D and a Omega Fish oil vitamin. Am i missing out on other essential vitamins? Also does name brand and price make a difference? I notice that Whole foods wants a fortune . Last check $30 for a 30 day bottle of Omega 3 and thats one of their cheaper items. I stick with Vitamin Shoppe but does it matter if you switch off to buying even cheaper ones at supermarket or drug store?

I personally buy all my supplements at costco because they are less expensive and you get lots so you don't have to buy them as often plus you can share with your family.

As for what you should take: The savest bet is a good multivitamin or you can your blood and/or urine tested to see if you lack anything else. Ask your doctor or naturopath. I went to see a naturopath and she tested my urine. She recommended me to take high vitamin B vitamins 2 x 100mg B complex, vitamin C, Vitamin D3, and omega 3s. In addition to those I take probiotics (which I also buy at costco). The probiotics I did a little self research on the net and this was a self decision. A good website on probiotics is probiotics.org.

    Hope you find what works!

Just an additional note: I don't eat dairy for the most part except on occassion and even still when my urine was tested I didn't need calcuim supplements. So don't make assumptions based on your diet. Every person is different and their ability to utilize, break-down, and absorb different vitamins and minerals is different.
