i would still say even with the bacteria its still better than 90% of the foods out there.0

Folks, buy yourself a grinder. It's a great investment. You can get a hand grinder or an add-on to a KitchenAid mixer (what I have). There's a lot to choose from. For small quantities, a small size foor processor gives a pretty good result. I haven't bought any commercially ground meat products since the first article about pink slime appeared about 4-5 years ago. It's just gross what they do. And sometimes what you don't know DOES kill you.0

In the past the same has been said about beef, chicken, etc. etc. If you cook your protein source thoroughly you shouldn't have problems.0
