Not sure if this was ever brought up. But I'm always looks for ways to save on the good foods. I currently shop at Sam's and pay about 40 bucks a year for a membership. I buy most of my food in bulk(veggies/milk/meat mainly) and it also saves some money on gas. Anybody else have some good places that they shop at or just put where you normally shop at and why?

Walmart, mostly. But they just opened a new hipster-bipster grocery store nearby and I got their mailer yesterday; they have some pretty good deals on produce so I might check them out this weekend.

BJ's wholesale club: Chicken (I buy a lot at once and freeze it) Egg whites, and occasionally veggies
Stop & Shop: typical grocery store, average prices, I go here for most produce and fruit, and some meat. I want to start getting my meat from an actual butcher though.
Whole Foods: vitamins / specialty health items
Big Y: Quick picking things up after workouts (its right across the street from the gym)

I shop mostly at Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and Harris Teeter. I also make a trip to H Mart a couple times a month for Asian stuff, but Whole Foods and Trader Joe's are both within walking distance from me so I do 90% of my grocery shopping at those two stores. I live in the city and we don't have big box stores so making the trip to Wal-Mart or Costco is not worth the little extra money I would save. Plus, I have found that certain things I like such as almond milk, soy milk, tofu, etc. are cheaper and more available at Trader Joe's and even Whole Foods.

I'm in Alberta, Canada and I do most of my shopping at No Frills as it's only 3 blocks away and always has great deals. I do a monthly trip little Asian grocery called Lucky Supermarket for beef, pork and whatever produce looks good.
Once a month or so I pick up a few snacky/treat things (granola bars, crackers cookies etc) at walmart - because it's cheapest there.

I walk/bus everywhere so I pretty much stick with what's within walking distance.

Costco, Big Lots, Trader Joe's, and then the more traditional grocery stores, which in my area are Super Target (cheapest and best selection), Kroger (great specials), and Marsh (most expensive, but sadly, right up the street). The farmers' markets should be opening soon--I like to shop those, but never get there as often as I would like.
