So, I don't notice this at my gym much, but I don't think I can be the only one. Being female, I much much much prefer to wear guys shorts when working out. They don't ride up, and the pockets are big enough for my phone to not fall out of. Since I also prefer to keep my hair short, people sometimes think I'm a guy, which of course is untrue.

Just wondering if anyone else felt this way too!

I prefer longer shorts period because of this issue....I hate that my thighs rub together and I hate the feeling or the thought of my legs showing off to everyone.

Yoga pants is mandatory at my gym. You can easily buy an arm band for your ipod/phone.

You shouldn't have led with being a woman, that way opinions would be more honest.

I'm a little confused. Are you asking if anyone feels like you seem like a man, or agree that you do?

You don't look like a man to me, but you do have a short haircut, and it seems like women typically have longer hair.

So maybe if all someone sees is your back and your haircut and your board shorts, they would assume that you were a man.

BUT! They might just be calling you "bro" because everyone at the gym is "bro", bro.

    I understand your frustration.

Sometimes when I go out for drinks I wear a dress.

People confuse me for a woman.

I wear yoga pants or work out crops that are fitted.

I find properly fitted pants/crops/tanks generally get in my way less than loose/baggy stuff.

Ever try doing mountain climbers really fast while wearing a baggy T-shirt and shorts? Probably end up showing people a lot more than you wanted to.

solution: one sharpie marker... and if you need a place to put it... well...
