I just buy nosalt at the store (which tastes like *kitten* by the way), so I also buy a pack of empty capsules at my natural grocer (like $3-4 for a hundred empty capsules) and pop one with each meal with a little under 1/4 tsp in the capsule (which is about ~20% of the daily value per capsule).
Don't go overboard on it though, too much potassium is NOT good for you

A baked potato with broccoli, salsa, and cottage cheese! Or plain Greek yogurt with a sliced banana, diced peaches, and some chopped dark chocolate.

I was actually talking to my personal trainer a few days ago about this (because I wanted to know how to better hydrate). She said that some people can really hurt themselves with too much potassium, so be very careful if you choose to take supplements. I googled necessary potassium and it was a fraction of what MFP says on here. Maybe consult a doctor on the ACTUAL intake you should have, but I assume if you just eat the right foods you should be fine.

I usually make a sweet potato puree soup and have a bowl a day. By my counts, it gives 1410mg of Potassium; 409 calories; 790% RDA Vitamin A; 165% RDA Vitamin C; 10% RDA Calcium; and 12% RDA Iron. It's ready in about 30 minutes with prep time. Here's the recipe:

    For Soup:
    • 1 large sweet potato, diced (about 4 cups)
    • 4 cups of vegetable stock
    • 1/4 red, orange, or yellow bell pepper, diced
    • 1/2 small onion, diced
    • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
    • 1/8 tsp. of ground sage
    • Dash of nutmeg
    • Dash of ginger
    • Dash of ground cloves
    • Dash of chili powder
    • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
    • Salt to taste

    For Garnish:
    • 3/4 red, orange, or yellow bell pepper, diced
    • 1 small tomato, diced
    • 2 avocados, sliced
    • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
    • Salt to taste

Heat 1 Tbsp of olive oil in medium saucepan. Add diced onion and 1/4 bell pepper and cook until softened. Add garlic and cook until softened, around 1 minute. Add vegetable stock and sweet potatoes and bring to a boil. Boil for around 10 minutes, until sweet potatoes are soft. Add sage, nutmeg, ginger, cloves, and chili powder and put entire mixture in blender. Blend until smooth.

Then, for the garnish, in sauté pan, Add remaining 3/4 bell pepper and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Add tomatoes and heat them through, about 30 seconds. Add salt to taste.

To serve, add two ladles of soup to a bowl. Put 1/2 of a sliced avocado as raft on top and put spoonfuls of pepper/tomato mixture on top of it. Makes four servings.
