Mums Who Leave Like Dads

When a relationship ends and kids are involved, generally the father leaves the home and sees the children on weekends/afternoons etc. But I'm interested in peoples opinion on when it's the mother who leaves but still sees her children regularly? It that better/worse/the same?

as a mother of 2 i would NEVER be the one to leave my family... i WOULD leave and take the kids with me lol... but i have met some fathers who have either 50/50 custody or have almost full custody... usually the mother has all the rights UNLESS she is abusing drugs/alcohol or has some mental condition... or has a history of violence...

i actually do not approve of women leaving the kids but it does happen... because the mothers are not ready for the responsibility.. and actually sometimes the father does raise the children better especially if the women is self destructive... so it depends on the situation...

but in most cases women do leave but take the children... if they do not take the children then they will most likely lose full custody...

I jut don't see why. Men get to leave, and I they still see their kids 2-3+ days a week they're praised as a great dad. If a woman does the same, suddenly she's the devil? I don't understand why. Just because you're a woman, it doesn't make you the better parent.
