Lunch success

I'm so proud of myself!
I stopped at Einstein's Bagels to pick up lunch today. I guess I should have asked what was on their "Tasty Turkey" sandwich, but I didn't. I happened to see the girl behind the counter glopping, not spreading, but glopping cream cheese on a bagel.:noway: I went over to the clerk and asked what came on the sandwich I ordered. He said it came with onion & chive cream cheese. I told him, "Oh no, no, no.... no cream cheese please, just turkey and veggies." They seemed slightly perturbed that I told them after the fact, and they probably had to throw away that first bagel, but I don't care. I got the sandwich that I wanted ... and paid for.
And, as a side item, instead of chips, pasta salad, etc., I opted for the fresh fruit salad. They didn't have any, so I had to wait a few extra minutes for them to make one up. I was tempted to say, never mind, I'll take the chips, but I didn't! I set out for a healthy lunch and I was going to get it.
As it turned out, the fruit tasted just o.k., but the sandwich was perfect! I was so happy to have it the way I wanted. Just had to share with people who could relate. The more I make healthier choices, the easier it gets!

That is a great accomplishment....................I am very proud of you! It is so hard to eat out anywhere without the slop and goop they put on everything. Kudo's job well done...............0

I hate to be a pain but you did the right thing getting what you wanted. I usually just order a plain sandwich. I don't order plain for the health reasons, but because it's a mess to eat otherwise. No one seems to have any "touch" when making sandwiches. I know they're in a hurry but take it easy on the condiments.
I guess I could add that to the "Pet Peeves" forum topic: Condiment soup!0
