Training for multi-day cycling trip?

In mid-July I am doing a multi-day long distance cycling trip. Am clueless how to train for it. Currently take 3-4 spinning classes per week. Now that the weather is warming up I plan to ride outside at least one day per week. Is there a training schedule that will optimize cycling? I'm worried I won't be able to go the distance even though I am very fit. Any advice is appreciated.

Time in the saddle. Doing spinning and riding a multi-day bike tour are very different beasts. With spinning you're doing high output for a short amount of time. Touring you're doing a lower output, but over a much longer time.

There are things to think about like nutrition, hydration, how to ride in/with a group, bike fit and on and on. There's alot of resources about training for century rides that would be plenty helpful for a long tour, but it really comes down to spending time on your bike out on the road rolling up the miles.

there's really no substitute for time in the saddle - and back-to-back days riding if that's what you're going to be doing on the trip.

Thanks for the input. I did my first long distance ride of 28 miles a few weeks ago. I live on the Gulf Coast so it was very flat terrain and at sea level. There aren't any hills to practice on and very few bike trails. But I'll start putting the miles on my bike and try to get used to vehicular traffic. Hubby and I are taking a tour around the Finger Lakes that is van supported. Mainly rolling hills but a few steep inclines can be expected. Luckily the roads are very lightly traveled or so they advertise.
