NEW MEMBER THAT NEEDS LOTS OF MOTIVATION

HELLO IM MARY LOPEZ , A 49 YR OLD MOTHER OF 2 TEENAGERS...MY LIFE IS AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY KIDS!! I HAVE GAINED SO MUCH WEIGHT ITS OUT OF CONTROL!!! NEVER BEEN THIS HEAVY EXCEPT WHEN I WAS PREGNANT! IM LOOKING TO LOSE 30 LBS BY SEPTEMBER....GOT LESLIE SANSONE "WALKING THE BELLY FLAB OFF" AND JUST STARTED 4 DAYS AGO. NEED TO LOSE THE BELLY BEFORE I CAN GET SCULPTED AND RIPPED!!! NEED IDEAS 4 FOOD PLAN, CAN ONLY HAVE 1200 CALORIES PER DAY AND WANT 2 EXERCISE 5 DAYS PER WEEK....I GET DISCOURAGED EASILY SO ANY ENCOURAGEMENT FROM PEOPLE WILL BE APPRECIATED....CANT WAIT TO GET STARTED. NEED A COMPLETE LIFESTYLE CHANGE!!! THANKS AND HOPE 2 HEAR FROM SOMEONE.

    You can do it. It is all a mental thing. Of course motivation from others is good but it is nothing like motivating yourself because that is what keeps you going for lifetime. Simple changes can help you a lot like planning your meals for the day, walking whenever you can, stay busy doing housework, basically anything to keep you moving because it all adds up. Try to stay consistent while letting yourself have a little breathing room occasionally. YOU TOOK STEP 1 BY ADMITTING YOU NEED TO LOSE NOW GET ON IT!

    I too lose motivation easily. Here is a meal I like to make: taco salad. It is only 465 calories and it gets a lot of food so you feel full. Another strategy is to drink a glass of water about 20 minutes before you plan on sitting down to eat. I am going to try doing this while I am cooking dinner.

    today tho i think i need some motivation i have been doing so good but today well its hot and i no want to move but if i dont clean up and iron i have no calories to eat so ill go over anyone want to boot my behind into doing it please feel free

    Hi and wetcome to MFP!! :flowerforyou: Make sure ya read the tips they give you here, also check out the community for recipes ideas. The more you exercise the more calories your allowed to eat. Try by eating 3 healthy meals; protein, a fast carb (potatoes, bread, rice, pasta) watch the portion sizes and load up on veggies which is low in calories. Make sure you have 3-4 snacks a day under 200 calories. Cliff or luna bars taste great and are a good fix for chocolate lovers, like me :laugh: For 2 weeks try eating a dinner that consists of a protein and 3 portions of veggies, and the last snack more of a protein, this will definately get your motabolism moving. You can do this. And remember this as a life style change, diets dont work. Your beginning your life to a healthier way of eating. Good Luck :bigsmile:

    Bend over!!! I will kick it for you!!! :-) DON'T DO IT IT JUST IS NOT WORTH IT!! But if you do just remember you dont give up, just keep on going and try to make up for it in a walk or something. You said it is hot so if you take a walk you will sweat and loose more weight!!

    thankyou for the virtual boot i cleaned up the ironing i left but i will do tomorrow my mum is visiting least motivating person ever so ill need chocolate if i have chocolate i need extra calories so the ironing is a tomorrow job
