Too Few Calories...

I am so conflicted by this. I feel like I eat all day. Of course I go for low cal snacks, meals, etc....but at the end of the day when I log my exercise, my remaining calories are at 500-800 (green numbers). The only thing I can think is "Great grape gravy, Batman. I can't eat another thing!!" I usually feel full and satisfied, but I know eating back my exercise is key to weight loss. Not quite sure what to do...

Don't go for the low calorie options. Use full fat dairy, eggs, nuts, avocado, healthy oils. Add something to your existing meals maybe?

I have to do the same thing as well as make sure I eat enough in the morning before leaving for work and take enough with me for my afternoon snacks because I get off work before my husband does and he is my ride home. So I end up getting hungry waiting around the extra 1.5-2 hrs that I have to wait for him.

If you know you're going to have extra calories left at the end of the day, have another snack or use some higher calorie versions of things you are already using.

That sounds like a good plan. I had just started to make low calorie dinners instead of the quick easy ones that I usually do. This is when I started having so many calories left over. I've noticed since then I've been more tired and less motivated to work out. I usually always look forward to working out. I've still been sticking to my routine, but it's felt more like a chore. I figured it was due to lack of calorie intake.

It probably is from a lack of calories. I know on days where I don't take in enough I'm exhausted by day's end! Healthy calories are everywhere! Snack on nuts, avocados are pretty calorie heavy but seriously dense in nutrition, make smoothies that have a ton of veggies added to it and some coconut milk, lots of ways to get more in. It will really help. Low calorie options usually aren't as healthy for you (if we're talking about processed foods). Stick to foods that grew at one time. :)

I can't eat enough either but I am trying to add in something healthy but calorie dense like some nuts or greek yogurt or a green smoothie.
