WHY?! Lumps and bumps!

WHY is it that since ive lost 44 pounds that I have all these new lumps and bumps (celulite), I thought weight loss reduced this? My legs look horrible, its like my body picked a place here and there to lose the weight in and its not pretty. I can also tell that my inner thighs are going to have horrible loose skin since they are looking like deflated balloons. I still have 60 pounds to lose, will this just keep getting worse?

    It may...totally genetic.

But, you can weight train and that may help a lot.

Are you lifting weights? If you lose weight doing cardio only and not eating enough protein, you are setting yourself up to lose valuable calorie-burning muscle mass. Go heavy on the protein and the lifting and you'll be surprised how firm you can get.

Cellulite is a normal part of women's bodies. It's caused by the connective tissues that hold the skin to the body lol... the fat deposits just kind of show it moreso than it would show with lower body fat. But even people who have low body fat can have cellulite in the areas they do carry fat. It's normal. Don't fight it.

well according to my doctor...no. He told me that the more we lose the loose skin will fade as we tone. His exact words were " Have you ever seen a runner with excess skin or fat?" He claims if we tone as we go, that we will not have loose skin... I have been lifting weights for my large arms and I've noticed I have ripples now in my arms, of course it freaked me out and I wondered why it was there now after losing weight, but I just hope that the excess dimples in my thighs etc will fade with the more I lose. But the way I look at it.... long as I'm healthy and look good hidden under my clothes...it is what it is.... :)) keep doing what your doing...it will get better:)

It is important to also make sure your strength train, it may help reduce the cellulite and help tone/shape your body as you get slimmer. You could try to DVDs to start out. I would recommend the Butt Bible by Pauline Nordin or a Jillian Michaels DVD. I am doing it now and it's a killer!!! Hope I helped :flowerforyou:
