Calling all fellow swimmers!

If you swim (like I've decided to start doing), I have some questions for you. :)
--How long do you usually swim at a time? How many full laps (down-back) can you do in that time?
--How many times/week do you swim?
--Do you do any other cardio activities as well? What kinds?
--What have your results been like? (Pictures would be awesome!)

And, finally, if you have color treated hair, other than using a swim cap, how do you protect it from damage/fade out? I don't like swim caps because my hair gets tangled up in them. Any and all help and commentary is super appreciated!
