well i did it! thanks to MFP i managed my diet to loose weight and keep myself focused. using the iphone app helped too.
i managed to stick to my liver reduction diet for two week before my gastric bypass operation last thursday. i feared that i wouldnt lose enough weight and strink down the liver enough to have the operation. but i did, the operation was a success. ive been home a week now and everything is settling down. i wont lie the pain was awful for the first 24 hours. bearable the next 24 hours.
i must say that i am not hungry anymore, and i have to look at my watch to see if its time to eat.
MFP will help me to calorie count and will give me an idea of the nutrients im eating to ensure that i'm getting the correct amounts during the next phase of my diet.
today i have lost a total of 22kg or 48 pounds.
also when i've lost 30kg i can have my left knee replaced.
the gastric bypass will help me loose weight quicker, and will help me control the diabetes but MFP will aid me all the way, what a great tool.
thank you MFP you make diet control so easy.

I wish you the best in your recovery from your surgery and your days, weeks, months ahead! I have thought about that surgery often, but it scares me ! Hopefully this time I will be able to do it on my own with the help from all the awesome people here on mfp!!!0
