Hi, I was reading the other thread about women lifting heavy. It was about not becoming bulky. They looked great.
I have always wanted to have strong muscular legs with visible muscle.
How do you get them?

To get visible muscle, you must strip away the fat first. This is done through a calorie deficit. To have strong legs, do squats, lunges, deadlifts (some would argue that's a mainly lower back exercise, but it's great for hamstrings as well). I also like to use the leg press machine and I also do isolation moves toward the end of the workout such as leg curls and leg extensions.0

Also, unfortunately, part of it is genetics. Some people will never get muscular legs and some will never get slender legs; though usually when a person is fit and happy with themselves, they look awesome! I'm one of the people who has naturally strong legs - I'll never be able to buy knee-high boots as my calf muscle (or if not the muscle, then the fat) is in the way, but on the other hand I look great in high heels and a knee-length skirt0
