Calories burned on HRM compared to MFP

Is there a way to quick add calories for exercises? My Polar FT4 shows that I am burning a lot more calories than MFP says I am. The only way I can think of doing it is adding extra time without creating a new exercise and manually putting in the calories burned per minute every time I exercise.

Is there another way of doing it?

Thank you in advance!

I made an entry that say "HRM" and I just enter that and change the calories each time. I definitely trust my HRM a lot more than MFP when I train so I just enter it each time.

I'll be interested to hear anyone else's thoughts.

I manually put mine in because my heart rate monitor is always way different than the MFP calories burned. You shouldnt have to change the exercises to change the calories.
  • Ahh yes that does make so much more sense! I don't know what I was thinking. Ha ha. Thank you!
