OK, i have a question... How many of yalls periods hasn't been normal for years and then all if a sudden changed when u started lifting? I started stronglifts in February, finished in the middle part of April and stated new rules of lifting, up till then with the exception of the time when i was pregnant i was like a clock.. I could tell u the exact day i wad going to start.. In April i was 3 days late. No big deal. I thought my math may have been off, know I'm almost 6 days late. I feel like I'm trying to start, the p.m.s and all, but nothing.. I got the headaches, water weight, appitite, small body aches, all of which is normal for me, and yes the biggest question, i took 2 pregnancy test and both was negative and i took them after the missed period. I was due to start on April 27, and the test was taken may 1 and may 2. . . I'm confused! Could two months of lifting really changed my body that much on the inside to where i "lose"my period? Oh, and i eat Amy where from 1550/1700 calories a day, some little stuff just don't get logged.. Phrase help me, the DR won't see me till I'm 2 months passed and i really don't want to have to go to one just to tell me what other people may have knowledge of

Your workout CAN and will affect your period. Mine was different after I began running 4 miles a day that it had ever been. Mine became very light, and the duration shorter, my cycle was also down to 22 days too.

I seriously doubt that lifting for a few months will cause your period to stop, but there are a lot of hormonal things going on, so it could change your regularity. As someone who has never been normal, I think that, as long as you are not having unprotected sex and your preganancy test are negative, there is very little to worrry about if you are a few days late.
