Does anyone else lose weight like this?

So, I have a question about how I am losing weight, mostly just out of curiosity. I started really paying attention to my diet about two months ago (after a few months of working out while still eating crappy/too much, which didn't work so well), the first week I dropped about 5 lbs, pretty typical since I was eating less sodium, etc. The next two weeks I lost about 0.2 to 0.4 lbs a day, every day. Since then, so for the past 6-7 weeks, it seems like I plateau/gain a pound or two for a week, then I'll drop 5-7 lbs in a week, then plateau/gain a pound or two for a week, then drop another 5-7 lbs the next week. I'm on the start of the fourth cycle of that.

Now, just to be clear, I am not worried at all, my weight loss averages to about 2 lbs a week, I feel good, etc, etc. I'm just curious if anyone else loses weight like that. I was doing P90X, but built myself a home gym and started doing Stronglifts two weeks ago.

And, just in an attempt to head off THIS bunny trail: I am a daily weigher, and before everyone jumps on me about that, I am a numbers person. Numbers comfort me. I know it's weird, but I like seeing that number every day, even multiple times throughout the day, just to see how it changes, correlate the changes to eating, drinking, doing the things that come after eating and drinking, and it doesn't bother me at all to see that number change over the course of the day. I could care less what that number is, my actual goal is to get down to a 12-15% BF, but to do that I do need to have a smaller number on the scale. If anyone tells me to stop obsessing over a number that I am not obsessing over (I could stop whenever I want, I swear... :) or to stop weighing myself daily I WILL reach through the internet and beat you with a stick :)
