5'1"...What is yalls final wieght/goal?

Hi y'all,

I've been told by 4 different doctors a huge variation in what my ending weight should be. Everything from 97lbs-150lbs..huge difference! I was 97lbs in high school, 120lbs when I got married (6yrs later), gained weight after babies. Have went back and forth ever since. My lowest weight after kiddos was 142lbs and I was in a size 9-10. I can't imagine what size I'd be at 97lbs again.
Just looking to see what others my height have in mind!

My current goal is to get to 130 and see how that feels and looks. I've had a couple of kids (my youngest is 3 months) so my tummy is rather stretched, but it's slowly shrinking. I'm currently around 155 and hate it. I got down to 145 by breastfeeding with my first child but it took about a year after the birth to get there. I didn't diet or exercise lol. This time I hope to get down to my goal by the end of the year. I'm 5'1" btw.

I am 5' 2" and I have been as low as 107 after college, 120 when I got married and had kids (very comfortable there) and have fluctuated between 140 and 160 since kids. I am at 135 now working down to 120 (SW152). I set that goal based on my body fat%. To keep my current lbm and have a 25% bf, that is where I need to be. Half way there!!

    I'm 5'0" ... I've seen a range of 95 to 127. So I went with 111 - right in the middle of the range.

FWIW, I've never been a healthy weight since early childhood so I have no idea what's right for me. I figure once I get close I'll have a better idea.

I have always had a small frame. I started out in the lower 130s and I didn't like the way I felt or looked n the mirror. I am currently 115-116 and I like it. I think I am going to stay here, but try to tone and build more muscle. If I lose 5 more lbs of fat but gain muscle I'll be okay with that too:) I think at our height, the number doesn't matter after a certain point but it becomes about muscle mass and toning.

    Hi All!

New here. I am 5'2" and my current weight is 153. Am working toward a goal of 118. Got down to 120 in 1999 on Atkins and then carb creeped my way back up to current weight. I have a large frame for a petite person, though. So I could stop in the low 120's.

    Cheers!

I started at 187. Thought I'd be happy at 130 and I was but thought I could do a little better. Now I'm 122 heading down to 120. I will stop there as that was my most comfortable lowest weight.

I started around 150, now I'm at 133 and would like to get to 110. I'm hoping I'll be at least close to that by the end of the summer..

I'm probably a lot older than those of you who have responded, but I'm 5'3", started at 188 lbs. now 154 lbs. and my goal is to get to 150 lbs. Been at this for well over a year, but I will get there. I will feel comfortable in my skin and clothes at that weight. When I was younger weighed 120 lbs at 5'5" - you shrink over the years. BTW I'm almost 73 years young!!
  • 5'2" current weight 111.5 goal to be back down between 100-103. I stayed at 100-103 after all three of my kids. Just gained 10 lbs in the last year.

I'm currently 157 and my highest weight after my son was born was about 168. I want to get down to 140 as my immediate goal after that we'll see if I want to keep going.
  • 5'0", shooting for 110, ultimately.

I'm 5'1'' and shooting for 130 right now. From what I've looked at, 100-130 is fine in terms of weight. I've never been skinny, so I don't have much of a point of reference of what "was". I was 170 in highschool - I'm actually lighter now.

I'm 5' and am currently at about 120. My goal weight is between 105 and 110 because I'm building up muscle, though I'm sure I could get away with 100 if I didn't want to be toned. :)

5'1" and currently 130lb at 22% body fat. I'm currently lifting for gaining strength and tracking my food to make sure I get enough protein. I'd be happy to gain weight so long as my body fat percentage doesn't go up by much (or maybe I'll do a cut after a while, we'll see)

If you get your body fat percentage measured in a reliable way, you can work out exactly what your goal weight should be, using a calculator like this one: http://www.fat2fitradio.com/tools/ibw/ If you look up Leigh Peele's blog on google, there's a free download with a whole lot of information about body fat percentage, ways of measuring it, and also pictures of men and women at different body fat percentages. It's carrying too much body fat that's linked to health risks, and body fat percentage measures how much fat you are carrying. Height and weight methods (like BMI) don't take into account frame size or muscularity so they tell very athletic people and large framed people they're overweight, and they tell small framed people they're underweight. The healthy range for body fat percentage is the same regardless of height or frame size, so it's a much more reliable way of telling you if you need to lose fat, and also for getting a goal weight that's the right weight for you, not for the average joe who happens to be the same height as you.

I'm 5 ft (used to be 5'1" but I guess I shrunk lol!) and I am aiming for 120-125lbs. Having said that, I have no idea what I will feel like as I get smaller because I haven't been that small since my early twenties (48 yrs old now) but I am setting that as my goal and I expect I will be there by the end of the year (knock on wood!)

I'm going all the way this time as I'm NEVER going back to being overweight/obese! I will be FABULOUS by fifty, that will be my gift to myself! :)))

I am 5 feet tall, shooting for 130 pounds and then if and when I get there I'll re-evaluate. I know what you mean about the "healthy" weight range thing. The only time I've ever weighed under 100 pounds I was extremely unhealthy. My arm muscles actually wasted, it was gross. Since my kids, it's been difficult for me to go under 130, I do really well up until that point and then I get frustrated, stall and gain it all back.

I'm trying to set myself up for the expectation that I will keep tracking my food and exercise for the rest of my life. Otherwise, the hobbit genes start telling me to stay inside and eat more. But I also don't want to get hung up this time on comparing myself to other people, or to what a size tag says. I have very wide hips so it's very difficult for me to go below a size 10, I'll be 40 years old by the time I'm back down there and I think that's old enough to grow up about such things and be happy with myself.

I'm just about 5'2" and the lowest I ever weighed was 100lb when I was at university. Since I left my weight crept up to about 122, which I've now got down to 114. Not that there was anything wrong with being 122, but it was depressing to not fit into any of my old clothes and I definitely suit being slimmer. I like the way I look but might go for a couple more pounds just to see if the fat at the top of my thighs and on my hips will EVER go away. Downside - need new bras

I started in the 160s when I got on MFP. I'm currently 132. This is the lowest weight I've been since I was in middle school. I'm shooting for 125. Hopefully, I will feel comfortable there.

I'm in my sixties now and 125 at almost 5'2" seems to be the best I can do. When I try to go below it means real food deprivation, stomach aches, misery. I have various physical problems that make it hard for me to do a lot of exercise and heavy lifting is out of the question now.

I actually look half decent except right around the middle and probably wouldn't look that much better even with another 5 pounds off. I feel pretty good about my weight and I am quite flexible and able to get around well because of the weight loss.

No matter how thin I get, I am still going to be me and old and saggy. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it is still a pig :blushing:
